A counselor teaches, leads directly, leads by example, helps homesick campers, oversees cabin cleanup, gets the campers up and ready in the morning (you don’t want to miss morning exercises with Ashleigh), keeps track of the campers, works activity stations during free time (pool, paddle boats, etc), leads cabin devotions, plays with the campers, eats with the campers, and more!
A Senior Counselor must be college age or older.
A Senior Counselor runs a cabin of 7-14 campers. The Senior Counselor is the ‘go-to’ person for the campers and builds strong relationships with the children. The Counselor leads devotions, quiet time, oversees cabin clean up, spends time with the campers, runs stations during free time, etc. This is a busy, yet rewarding, job.
A Junior Counselor (JC) must be entering 11th grade or older.
A Junior Counselor builds relationships with the campers, helps with devotions, assists the senior counselor, and helps create a strong, Christian atmosphere, both inside and outside, the cabin.
